KDF COMMEMORATION DAY IN PICTURES 


In commemorating the valour and sacrifice of our dignified heroes and heroines in uniform who gave their love and lives for the country, today, I accompanied H.E and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces President William Samoei Ruto to Laikipia Airbase for the 2022 KDF Day.


Speaking at the event, the President affirmed the commitment of the Kenya Kwanza Government, through the security agencies, to protect the sovereignty of our country and put the security and safety of all its Citizens before anything else.

In bad and blood, we all stand to defend our nation. For the servicemen who lost their lives in the line of duty, you are forever in our hearts. And, as Laurence Binyon writes in his famous poem, 'For the Fallen':

'They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.'

The red in our flag is for the memory of you.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
