NATIONAL ASSEMBLY APPROVES DEPLOYMENT OF KDF TROOPS TO DRC



Kenya's will to address regional issues and challenges was yesterday manifested when the National Assembly approved the deployment of troops to join others under the East African Community Regional Forces (EACRF) for a peace keeping and enforcement mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Receiving the blessings of the Kenyan Parliament and the goodwill of the people of Eastern DRC, the Kenyan Contingent (KENCOM) is instrumental in its commitment and contribution to maintaining regional peace that fosters growth.

As the East African Community Anthem encourages, our desire is to 'pursue the virtues of unity, patriotism and hard work, while cultivating a spirit of comradeship'.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
