MWENDA THURANIRA AND HIS AFFINITY FOR HAVING EDUCATION AS A PRIORITY IN EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES 


Education is a fundamental driver of personal, national and global development. Since the beginning of the century, recognition of this has driven many countries to pursue the Millennium Development Goal of achieving universal primary education and eradicating gender disparities at all levels of education.

However , in Isiolo County, Kenya, a young ambitious leader has been passionate about empowerment the community through education. His zeal, determinations and energy in promoting education has widely been recognised and applauded.

Hon Mwenda Thuranira has been on the forefront in agitating for the welfare of his people by ensuring all children who have attained the age of going to school are reporting to school and those who cannot afford school fees for their secondary and university gets bursaries and scholarships. 

Mr Mwenda has emphasized the importance of having a literate society saying education is the greatest thing ever that can propel communities to greater heights of empowerment and self sufficiency. 

Mr Mwenda promised to continue fighting for his people while creating awareness about the importance of educating our children.


Mr Mwenda urged those in leadership positions to commit to enhancing the quality of education and reduce the education gap by increasing school resources, improving the efficiency of educational institutions,

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
