ONGOING ROAD WORKS AT MFEREJINI, SHIKA ADABU LIKONI 



Infrastructure is important for faster economic growth and alleviation of poverty. Lack of adequate infrastructure not only holds back economic development, it also causes additional costs in terms of time, effort and money of the people for accessing essential social services such as healthcare and education.

Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir's agenda clearly gives priority to development of roads, improving drainages and installation of streetlights. 

Through the Department of Transport and Infrastructure headed by CECM Manyala Dan, Mferejini Shika Adabu Likoni roads is getting face-lift.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
