HON DUALE GRACED THE 2ND EDITION OF IGAD MEDIA AWARDS 2024 Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale represented H.E President Dr. William Ruto at the 2nd Edition of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development(IGAD) Media Awards 2024 at a Nairobi hotel.  The annual awards honor journalists, media organizations, and storytellers who demonstrate outstanding commitment to ethical reporting, promoting dialogue and understanding within the Horn of Africa while promoting peace, stability, and regional integration. Several dignitaries are attending the ceremony among them IGAD Executive Secretary Dr. Workneh Gebeyeh, USAID Kenya and East Africa Mission Director David Gosney as well as Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dr. Korir Sing'oei.

DUALE; MINISTRY COMMITTED TO RESTORING DEGRADED LANDSCAPES  Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale accompanied by Vihiga County Governor, Dr. Wilber Otichilo, inspected the ongoing fencing of the Kibiri Block in Kakamega Forest and spearheaded the planting of 15,000 trees in Maragoli Hills Forest.  The project, supported by partners like Rhino Ark, the Government of Japan, and MPESA Foundation, has completed 15km of the 117km boundary. The Maragoli Hills Forest, a 1,000-acre degraded water tower, is seeing significant regeneration through tree planting efforts by the Ministry, local communities, and partners.  Duale said the Ministry is committed to restoring degraded landscapes and improving livelihoods by ensuring 30% of the 15 billion trees planted by 2032 will be food, fruit, and fodder species.

UDGOON SIYAT IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST POLITICAL CHOICE GARISSA HAS EVER MADE. She is undoubtedly the best political choice we have ever made as Garissa County. A level-headed, cool and composed leader who ticks all the necessary boxes that makes one a complete leader. Hon Udgoon Siyat has dispelled all the notions that Women Rep often don't do much in terms of development and empowerment. She demonstrated that leadership is not about flaunting flattering photos on social media but rather working silently behind the scenes to help make a difference.  She has transformed many lives and helped empower different people from different areas in Garissa without favouritism. Many can attest to my claims. At this rate, I think we should not even debate about whether we should vote her back or not. She must be guaranteed another 15 years to continue blessing the great people of Garissa county.
