Hon Duale Graces the 2nd Edition of IGAD Media Awards in Nairobi

HON DUALE GRACED THE 2ND EDITION OF IGAD MEDIA AWARDS 2024


Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale represented H.E President Dr. William Ruto at the 2nd Edition of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development(IGAD) Media Awards 2024 at a Nairobi hotel. 

The annual awards honor journalists, media organizations, and storytellers who demonstrate outstanding commitment to ethical reporting, promoting dialogue and understanding within the Horn of Africa while promoting peace, stability, and regional integration.

Several dignitaries are attending the ceremony among them IGAD Executive Secretary Dr. Workneh Gebeyeh, USAID Kenya and East Africa Mission Director David Gosney as well as Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dr. Korir Sing'oei.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
