Of all those gunning for Garissa County Gubernatorial seat in the next general election, none has the acumen, the goodwill and utmost good faith to make the lives of the people of Garissa better except the well-versed, articulate and the experienced Mohamed Shurie. The current CEO of Water Resources Management Authority has for a long time now associated himself with excellence and progressive change.

A performance oriented and transformative, Shurie boasts a wide range of leadership traits that the rest of the pack can only dream of. 

Even though the well regarded civil servant has not yet officially announced his bid to seek the county's top job, many have so far came out to throw their support behind him.

Shurie has often spoken about, passionately, his plans to turn around the fortunes of the once promising County which has since fallen off. Languishing in corruption and lack of development, the well educated CEO seems to be the perfect fit to shepherd Garissa to the land of opportunity, prosperity and transformation.

Unlike those he will potentially be competing against, Shurie has the advantage of being a veteran and natural born leader and a well experienced public figure who has a good leadership history laden with enviable track record. 

The great people of Garissa County need a servant leadership at the helm of the county and not necessarily anyone who just want to take over the reigns to continue plundering of taxpayers money while enriching themselves and their families. No.

Shurie is a servant leader who will prioritise development and progress over achieving richness. He has in him all the necessary traits needed a leader to possess. He is apt, competent, experienced and qualified to take Garissa County to the next level in terms of development.

If were are determined to usher in an era of progress and growth in Garissa County, we must never waver from the glaring question that begs for an answer: Who else can be the agent of positive change other than Mohamed Shurie?

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
