DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT, INFRASTRUCTURE AND GOVERNANCE HAS HAD A GOOD YEAR. MORE TO BE DONE IN 2025 In 2025, the Department delivered significant milestones that not only strengthened urban mobility, improved public safety, emergency response, and focus on vertical infrastructure, all anchored on modern, safe, and inclusive development. SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY. 1. A total of 9.5 km access roads upgraded to cabro standards across the County, improving connectivity & service delivery for all. 2. Mombasa Cycle Network launched along Links and Fidel Odinga Roads, promoting non-motorised transport and safer mobility. 3. Traffic signals re-installed at Sabasaba & Buxton intersections, enhancing road safety & traffic flow. GOVERNANCE, SAFETY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES . 1.
