CECM Manyala Dan Cautions Against Illegal Sewage Line Connections to Stormwater Drains

CECM MANYALA CAUTIONS AGAINST ILLEGAL SEWAGE LINE CONNECTIONS TO STORMWATER DRAINS

Illegal sewage line connections to stormwater drains remain a huge problem in Mombasa County according to the County Government, who now warned that action will be taken against perpetrators of such acts.

CECM Manyala Dan of Transport, Infrastructure and Governance said such illegal connections pollute the environment, damage public infrastructure, pose serious public health risks, and are a violation of the law.

"The County Government reaffirms its commitment to tackle this problem once and for all. We have issued a firm warning to developers and property owners to stop connecting sewage lines to stormwater drains. Appropriate enforcement action will be taken against anyone found engaging in these illegal practices" CECM Manyala said.

He added that the County remains committed to protecting public infrastructure and ensuring efficient, clean, and sustainable drainage systems for all residents.
