WAJIR COUNTY FINANCE OFFICIAL ALLEGED TO HAVE GRABBED LANDS AMID ABUSE OF OFFICE REPORTS Whistle-Blower Alleges Land Grabbing and Abuse of Office by Wajir County Finance Official Fresh allegations have emerged against Wajir County’s Chief Officer of Finance, YM Dahiye, following a whistle-blower report that accuses the senior official of engaging in a pattern of corrupt dealings and abuse of office. According to the report, which investigators say has been corroborated by three independent sources familiar with the matter, the finance chief is alleged to have accumulated multiple high-value assets under questionable circumstances. These include properties in Nairobi’s Parklands neighbourhood and ownership of a radio station in Wajir town, which the whistle-blower claims is being used as a propaganda platform against political opponents and critics of the county leadership. CEC Manyala- Enforcement to Begin Against Non-compliant TUKTUK Operators on 1st January 2026

CEC MANYALA- ENFORCEMENT WILL BEGIN AGAINST NON-COMPLIANT TUKTUK OPERATORS  Mombasa County Government is still urging all tuk-tuk operators to register with SACCOs by January 1, after which enforcement will begin against non-compliant operators. Transport, Infrastructure and Governance CEC Dan Manyala said the order is meant to bring back accountability in the sector.  "This directive is part of a broader effort to promote safety, accountability and order in the public transport sector. Mombasa is a tourism city. We must have a transport system that is organised, traceable and safe,” he said. The CEC said the county is finalising regulations that will govern SACCO operations for both tuk-tuks and boda bodas. So far, the county has approved eight SACCOs, while others will be allowed to register provided they meet the requirement of at least 100 tuk-tuks per SACCO.
