HON DUALE'S BOLD LEADERSHIP PROVING TO BE KEY AT THE HEALTH MINISTRY’S SUCCESS 

Hon Duale's leadership in the Health Ministry has been very effective and reliable. The Social Health Authority (SHA) created in 2024 has been a game-changer. 24.7 million Kenyans are now insured under Taifa Care from 7M under NHIF. Taifa Care covers free primary healthcare, emergency services, critical and chronic illness and insured secondary care.

-Access is instant – no waiting period
- 2.75% income contribution – now fairer for the underprivileged.
-107,831 health promoters deployed
They’ve visited 8.3M homes and made 7.2M follow-up visits
-Digitisation has greatly reduced fraud and improved service efficiency
-Health Coverage by mid-2025:

5.75M people have been treated under the new health insurance scheme; 4.5M accessed basic care; 2.2M covered for hospital bills; KSh49.2B mobilised across SHA and SHIF.

They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
