Dr Matsanga David : Why Kenya Must Not Agree to A Rushed Elections With Shoddy Preparations.
KENYANS MUST CHOOSE BETWEEN A CHAOTIC VIOLENT ELECTIONS LACED WITH HATE OR A PEACEFUL AND UNITED KENYA.
DR MATSANGA DAVID EDITORIAL
Any activity that will precipitate or create an environment where chaos and violence will reign supreme must not be able to be given the green light until steps to mitigate and ways to curb the said risks are addressed.
As an experienced and expert in conflict resolution field , I am sceptical about the country going to the polls this year. Yes. Elections without ways to mitigate any of the repercussions will be disastrous to the country.
Reforms before the elections is what I have been advocating for a very long time now. The current political atmosphere is saturated with toxic utterances especially from William Ruto's camp who are hell bent to open old wounds of the 2008.
The Madoadoa talks on the podiums of the 2022 political campaigns by Ruto's team must not be taken lightly. It should be condemned with the contempt it deserves.
So Kenyans must choose between a chaotic, violent country occasioned by divisive elections laced with hate or a peaceful and united Kenya.
