WILLIAM RUTO MOST POPULAR CANDIDATE IN THE NEP AND MOUNT KENYA COUNTIES. 



Deputy President William Ruto is still leading as the most preferred presidential in the Mt Kenya and North Eastern region.

According to the recently released polls, Ruto came first in the popularity polls with a percentage of 58.2 in Mount Kenya and 65.3 in NEP. 

The DP is followed by ODM leader Raila Odinga at  27.1 in Mt Kenya and 17  per cent in NEP 

Justifying Ruto’s lead, the poll which was conducted between December 1-10 in the 11 Mt Kenya and 3 NEP counties said the second in command has been consistent in his engagements with people on the grassroots.

“ Yes we understand that ODM leaders are making inroads in the vote-rich region but from our findings we have established that most of the young people are still stuck with Deputy President while the elderly have decided to back Odinga,” 

Ruto's brand of leadership is viewed as consistent and well in touch with the people.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
