THE GARISSA COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WATCHDOG GROUP PRESS RELEASE REGARDING THE UPCOMING BY-ELECTION IN GARISSA TOWNSHIP. 


Garissa County Community Development Watchdog Group will like to urge the great people of Garissa Township constituency to be vigilant and strict on the choice of leadership they will be making in the upcoming By election occasioned by the resignation of the area MP Hon Aden Duale who has taken the Defence docket in the National Government. 

Apparently, it's definitely not an easy task for anyone to fill the huge leadership void that Hon Duale has created and its almost impossible for anyone to fit into his shoes.

Garissa County Community Development Watchdog Group therefore warns the electorates to make the right decision by voting for someone who will have their interest at heart. Someone who will always fight bravely for the welfare of the common men and women of Township constituency. 

Don't vote for individuals or how famous they are or how they sweet talk on the podium. Vote for a servant. Vote for service delivery. Vote for development oriented leader. Vote for the performers and shun and reject those who are in the race to enrich themselves. Reject the corrupt and the arrogant ones who will not be accessible once they ascend to the throne.

Garissa County Community Development Watchdog Group will actively seek to create awareness and help in vetting those who are fit to hold this position and those joyriders, jokers, corrupt and who don't care about Development and the welfare of the great people of Township constituency. 

As a group, we will work closely with opinion makers, elders,youths, religious leaders and other important stakeholders to ensure Garissa Township doesn't land in the hands of the wrong people. 

We will create awareness and encourage the electorates to never be swayed by money but rather what's contained in the Manifesto of the individual candidates. We will choose our destiny and no one will force a candidate on the people.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
