HON ADEN DUALE "THE ROLE OF THE LEGISLATURE IN ADVANCING GOVERNMENT AGENDA AND ON HOUSE LEADERSHIP"

"Your role in Parliament is not to be a politician; it is to drive the agenda of the Majority Party upon which you were elected, and, ensure its Manifesto is achieved."

Speaking at the first ever Majority Coalition Parliamentary Caucus held at Windsor Hotel, I was honoured to share my wealth of experience as a seasoned, four term Member of Parliament, the first Leader of Majority Party under the 2010 Constitution and Member of different house committees with Members of Parliament drawn from the Majority Party: The Kenya Kwanza Coalition.

The caucus offered a platform for a constructive exchange where senior Members of Parliament had the opportunity to mentor and guide the newbies on what actually happens on the floor of the House: The tricks and tactics of winning debates.

"Sometimes it gets messy; other times it gets merry. But in all times, you must stand to defend the Party; its agenda and ideologies!"

I'm looking forward to a more interactive 13th Parliament and an articulate Majority Party.

They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
