HON DUALE HOSTS UNDER SPECIAL SECRETARY GENERAL, SPECIAL COORDINATOR AND SPECIAL ENVOY TO THE GREAT LAKES 


The Ministry of Defence is not left out in the global sensitisation against Gender Based Violence and, the local drive for Economic Transformation.

Hon Aden Duale was privileged to host the Under-Secretary-General, Special Coordinator on Improving the United Nations response to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Mr. Christian Saunders who paid a courtesy visit to the Defence Headquarters, Nairobi.

Their consultative engagement centred around furthering cooperation in areas of mutual and shared interests.

In another meeting with the Special Envoy for Great Lakes, Ms. Alison Thorpe, they discussed ways and areas of partnership that would not only create safe spaces of human interaction but also build secure platforms for regional trade.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
