HON MWENDA THURANIRA CALLS FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT AS THE ONLY WAY TO REALISE DEVELOPMENT 

Renown Real Estate and property Manager, change advocate Hon Mwenda Thuranira has said that great things happen when change is ushered calling on Isiolo County Community to ask for accountability from their leaders to realise full development and progress. 

Mr Thuranira, a well known education and development activist has been vocal about issues of great importance to the people and has always advocated for progress and empowerment. 

Mr Thuranira said that communities must be enabled to see positive changes and the political class must make their pre-election pledges true.

"Community empowerment refers to the process of enabling communities to increase control over their lives. However if the common men and women are not empowered, then no development or prosperity will be realised " Mr Thuranira said.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
