The civilian staff, offering technical and oversight services, are an integral part of the Ministry of Defence and therefore, should be equipped with requisite training to blend with the discipline forces.

To achieve this, we are committed to consult wider and forge new partnerships with relevant bodies, among them, the Kenya United States Liaison Office (KUSLO).

Hosting a delegation from KUSLO, led by Ms. Jessie Evans at the Defence Headquarters, Nairobi, we discussed the best practices and approaches for developing a comprehensive Defence Civilian Policy. 

The meeting, which was attended by Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lieutenant General Francis Ogolla, came as a culmination of a week-long workshop on integration of civilian staff within the military environment.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
