HON ADEN DUALE JOIN OTHER LEADERS TO DONATE FOODSTUFFS TO THE DROUGHT HIT PEOPLE IN GARISSA COUNTY 



The nationwide drought has had adverse effects on people and livestock, especially among the larger pastoralist communities of North Eastern Province (NEP) of Kenya.

As the government works to provide a long-term, sustainable solution to this perennial menace, short-term, life-saving intervention measures have been equally helpful.

Today, Hon Aden Duale joined the Garissa Township MP, Hon. Dekow Mohammed, the Deputy Governor, the Country Commissioner, other government officials, MCAs, community leaders and locals for a food distribution exercise. Over a thousand vulnerable households in Bulla ADC, Garissa County, benefited.

"O Allah, shower upon us abundant rain, beneficial not harmful, swiftly and not delayed."

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
