Kudos TO Mombasa County Government for their Swift Response and Action Amidst Devastating Floods

KUDOS TO MOMBASA COUNTY GOVERNMENT FOR THEIR SWIFT RESPONSE AND ACTION AMIDST DEVASTATING FLOODS.





Mombasa County and its surroundings has received a heavy downpour that pounded the coastal town for over 10 hours and occasioned mass floorings that disrupted activities. The Governor H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, CECM Transport and infrastructure Manyala Dan and the entire disaster response team swung to action in a bid to mitigate the situation and bring about normalcy. And bringing it they did. 


When leaders demonstrate their unfailing dedication to a cause or an idea they are generating genuine passion for one of the core values of the concept of Servant Leadership,which is to support the people during their lowest of the moments thus earning their trust.

Waterways have been unclogged, drainages unblocked and the flooding subsided. The once flooding roads are now clear while the homes submerged in rain water have been drained.

That's what leadership of action is all about. Its about acting timely with the resources to help solve and address problems affecting the common men and women.
Leaders who act with integrity are perceived by their followers as trustworthy and completely honest by taking time to think about how values are integrated with their docket's vision and how their own honesty is respected by their peers and their followers. Leaders can be a wonderful healing force within their job area and their entire area of jurisdiction.


Mombasa County is indeed in the safe hands of a Governor and his Cabinet who cares and values the lives of those who call this beautiful place their home.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
