Yowpsud Chairman Ahmedsiyad Ibrahim Meets with Coast Development Board Chairman Mwinyi for Partnership Talk

YOWPSUD CHAIRMAN AHMEDSIYAD IBRAHIM MEETS WITH COAST DEVELOPMENT BOARD CHAIRMAN MWINYI MZEE FOR A PARTNERSHIP TALK 

Coast Development Board Chairman Mwinyi Mzee had a Consultative meeting with Yowpsud Chairman Ahmedsiyad Ibrahim whereby they resolved to work together and collaborate in empowering women and enhancing youth agenda .

The discussions rotated around ways and mechanisms to effectively nurture talents, market products and availing resources that will uplift lives and create employment for many youths who are currently struggling with joblessness. 

The partnership will also provide training and support for women groups while also formulating ways to help them sourcer funds for start-up. The talk also touched on how important it is for Coast local products to be harnessed and effectively marketed through the youths and women groups. 

The two leaders agreed to create a strong partnership that will eventually help our youth and women become integral part their empowerment programs to realise a vibrant and thriving society. They have also agreed to embark on awareness and educational activities aimed to impart them the necessary skills needed to sustain a successful business ventures.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
