MOHAMED OSMAN ALI, CECM TOURISM, TRADE AND CULTURE DEVOLVES THE SINGLE BUSINESS PERMITS PROCESS 



In his plans to transform the Department of Tourism, Culture and Trade -Mombasa County CECM Mohamed Osman Ali has devolved the single business permit process to each sub-county. He says the goal is to make it easier for businesses to get started and thrive in the communities. 

Yesterday morning, the CECM had a meeting with the licensing officers to equip them with the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively. He reiterated his confidence that the team is well-prepared to support the local businesses.

By devolving the services to sub-county level, will assist in accessing the business and achieving His Excellency Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir manifesto in providing services to the sub county and ward levels in order to revitalize the economy.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
