Hon Adow Calls for State Organs and Aid Agencies to Come to the Help of Wajir South after Huge Floods.

WAJIR SOUTH MP HON ADOW CALLS FOR STATE ORGANS TO HELP HIS PEOPLE. 



Wajir South MP Hon Mohammed Adow has called on state organs and aid agencies to come to the aid of his constituents as flash floods wrecked havoc in Wajir South.

The MP said Diff town in Wajir South is completely marooned by flash floods caused by the ongoing heavy rains as most residents of the town are living in the open on higher grounds and are at the mercy of the elements.

" We have sounded the alarm and am grateful to the Kenya Red Cross for their prompt action in marshaling teams to carry out preliminary assessment of the situation and also for mobilising much needed aid" He said adding that Diff can only be accessed via helicopters and it might be awhile before aid gets to the affected community.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
