SUPPORTING OUR COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS A SHOW OF PATRIOTISM

The great people of Mombasa County have the responsibility to provide support and encouragement to the county government and it's leadership. In any establishment, development and progress can only be attained if we shelve our political differences and come together as one united family pulling to the same direction. 

Social media has been awash with condemnation and castigating of the government of Governor Abdulswamad Shariff following the heavy downpour experienced not only in Mombasa County but across Kenya. 

Of course, there are grievances and issues that should have been dealt with swiftly by the county government. The residents have all the reasons to feel aggrieved and air out their displeasure,disappointment and dissatisfaction. Rightfully so. But Rome was not built one day. This county needs fixing and I am confident Abdulswamad and those he entrusted to implement his agendas are toiling to fix it. 

We should give time to government to deal with the issues of flooding and it's negative impacts on the people. Solutions can only be found when there is a problem. Now that the problem has been identified, I believe the solutions will follow promptly. 

Let's desist sharing sensational photos and videos all aimed to illicit negative reactions. If any, let those videos and photos be sent to the relevant offices as it will help them respond to the issue and subsequently be solved.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
