Department of Transport and Infrastructure Mombasa County Spearheads PLANS to Light up the County.

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE SPEARHEADS PLANS TO LIGHT UP THE ENTIRE MOMBASA COUNTY 



Mombasa County government through the Department of Transport and Infrastructure have embarked on an ambitious mission to lit up the neighbourhoods, business areas and beaches in effort to beef up security while also giving the ample environment for businesses to thrive and boom thus making Mombasa County an active 24 hour economy. 

This is a prayer answered for the great people of this county who have been pleading for the lights to be installed in strategic areas for a long time.

Mombasa County CECM for Transport and Infrastructure Manyala Dan has reiterated Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir's commitment to improve safety of the residents and businesses. 

Many areas which had faulty security lights now have fully operational lights as businesses areas like the CBD and Pirates Beach is now well lit.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
