HON DUALE VISIT HUNDREDS OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED PEOPLE BY FLOODS IN GARISSA COUNTY
Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon Aden Duale visited Iftin Primary School which has been turned into a holding area for hundreds of internally displaced persons (IDPs) for the floods victims.

He appreciated the work that KeNHA has so far done to open up the road and enhance accessibility. The rehabilitation of the road has enabled KDF troops to resume the distribution of foodstuffs and other non-food items to the affected.
Yesterday, over KDF 15 trucks ferrying essentials previously stuck, reached Garissa, and more trucks have delivered consignments to Tana River, Marsabit and Isiolo Counties, ahead of tomorrow's distribution by the Deputy President.
KDF air assets have so delivered over 600 tonnes of food and non food items including medicines to the counties of Wajir, Mandera, Isiolo, Tana River and Garissa.
