MANYALA DAN " THE GOVERNOR IS COMMITTED TO DEAL WITH DRAINAGE AND OTHER INFRASTRUCTURAL ISSUES 




Mombasa County government through the Department of Transport and Infrastructure has been giving a huge priority to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the drainage system across the county as heavy rains continues to pound the coastal city. 

CECM Dan Manyala has been leading the effort to tackle the perennial issues of flooding due to various reasons including improper disposal of garbage leading to blocking of the stormwater ways.

Yesterday, the Mr Manyala inspected the ongoing drainage works along Nyerere Avenue, Star of The Sea section where he reiterated the commitment of the County Government to deal with drainage and other Infrastructural issues. 
"A lasting Stormwater drainage solution is a critical deliverable for H.E Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir administration." Manyala said.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
