HON DUALE MEETS WITH CHILDREN'S INVESTMENT FUND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO DISCUSS INTERVENTIONS FROM THE NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

The Ministry is working with partners in the roll out of interventions aimed to safeguarding children and other vulnerable groups from the worsening negative impacts of climate change.

Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale this morning met a delegation from Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) led by Executive Director Ms. Faustina Fynn-Nyame to discuss opportunities for partnership.

Hon. Duale, who was joined in the meeting by Environment and Climate Change PS Dr. Eng. Festus Ng'eno, and his guests discussed CIFF's involvement in the implementation of the Nairobi African Leaders Declaration on Climate Change and Call-to-Action which is the main outcome of last year's inaugural Africa Climate Summit.

They also discussed CIFF's support for Kenya's 10-year National Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Strategy, the anchor framework for the Kenya Kwanza administration's flagship 15 Billion National Tree Growing Programme.

CIFF is a London based philanthropic organisation with offices in Nairobi, New Delhi, and Addis Ababa. Its main objective is to transform the lives of vulnerable children through partnerships.
