MANYALA DAN; THE MAN DRIVING GOVERNOR ABDULSWAMAD'S INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT AGENDA.


Mombasa County Executive in charge of Transport and Infrastructure department Manyala Dan is without a doubt the most hardworking, result oriented and transformative minded Executive in the county. His great work is evident for all to see and has positively changed the face of Mombasa. 

Since Manyala has been sworn into office to head the crucial department, a number of progress has been realised. 

Street and security lights have been installed across Mombasa. From the grand CBD to the alleys in the far flung areas like Kisauni, Bamburi, Likoni and Miritini Jomvu. These enhanced security has boosted businesses which operates till late into the night.

Our roads are no longer dilapidated. Mr Manyala has prioritised improvement and upgrading of the major roads complete with sidewalks. 

Footpaths and cabros on feeder roads has helped smooth movement of goods. 

The red Cabros on the side of the road and pavements has beautified and dignified Mombasa county. Repair and maintenance of feeder roads within the county is evidently out there for everyone to see.

Channel and gulleypot cleaning are also part of the operations that are being done to give our city a new face.

drainage system in Mombasa has improved and we now boost of network of good drainage infrastructure all set up and successfully completed by Manyala. This involves excavation, casting for the drain bed and laying of durable culverts as part of flood mitigation exercise. 

No traffic snarl ups. 

Mombasa residents are happy with the progress.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
