HON DUALE REITERATES THE IMPORTANCE OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP IN ADDRESSING CLIMATE CHANGE.

Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale this morning presided over the unveiling Bio Food Products Limited 3rd Sustainability Report where he reiterated the importance of partnerships between the private sector and Government in addressing climate change.

At the ceremony held at the company's Nairobi headquarters under the theme, 'Growing Responsibly, Feeding Sustainably', Hon. Duale said the company's #GoSustainable Report demonstrates the Bio Food's alignment with the Government's sustained climate action efforts to enhance Kenya's long-term resilience, economic growth, and environmental stewardship.

"Sustainability is no longer a peripheral issue; it is central to the survival and success of Kenyan businesses, our communities, and the nation.

"It encompasses the responsible use of resources, equitable distribution of wealth, and protection of our natural environment," CS Duale told the meeting that included the Director General of NEMA Mr. Mamo Mamo.

Once again, Hon. Duale rallied NEMA to accelerate ongoing crackdown on pollution, targeting noise from clubs, nighttime construction sites and improper waste disposal.

"We are committed to working hand in hand with the private sector and other stakeholders to ensure our policies, regulations, and frameworks support sustainable development.

"Our national goals can only be achieved if we all pull in the same direction, with a shared sense of purpose and determination," CS Duale said.

He said the Ministry is committed to providing a robust regulatory framework and creating an enabling business environment..

"Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA), and the Kenya National Climate Change Action Plan ensures that industry, including dairy production, operate sustainably and align with national environmental goals," the CS assured.
