Aden Duale Officially Assumes Role as Acting CS Agriculture and Livestock

ADEN B. DUALE ASSUMES ROLE AS ACTING CABINET SECRETARY FOR AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK DEVELOPMENT.

Following the Cabinet changes announced on December 19, 2024, Hon. Aden Duale officially assumed the role of Acting Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development. This follows the nominations of new Cabinet Secretaries by H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, pending vetting and approval.

During a brief handover ceremony at Kilimo House, outgoing CS Dr. Dr. Andrew Karanja formally handed over the Ministry to Hon. Duale. The event was attended by PS Agriculture Dr. PS, Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh, PS Livestock Hon. Jonathan Mueke, Agriculture Secretary Collin Marangu and the Secretary Administration Rashid Khator, who expressed gratitude for Dr. Karanja’s dedicated service and pledged support for the incoming leadership.

Hon. Duale reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the Ministry’s mandate, prioritizing food security, and ensuring a smooth transition to the new leadership.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
