GOVERNOR GUYO: THE YOUTHFUL LEADER MAKING DIFFERENCE IN ISIOLO COUNTY 



Leadership is about striving to make a difference in the lives of the men and women who have entrusted their faiths and pinned their hopes on you. It's about being proactive and sensitive to the needs of the people. 

Nothing describes the true symbol of bold and good leadership than the youthful Governor of Isiolo County Abdi Guyo. At the helm of a County battered by years of consistent alienation, dogged by underdevelopment and lack of political goodwill to bring about positive change, Mr Guyo's arrival on the leadership scene coupnt have been much more timely.

His technical know-how, vast knowledge in matters governance, and his insatiable appetite for progress coupled with his close working relationship with the country's top leaderships, Isiolo County was set for greatness from the moment Guyo was announced as the winner of the gubernatorial race few years ago.

The journey to make Isiolo great was then born out of the sheer efforts and determination by Governor Guyo to be different from his predecessors. The stage was set and the mission mapped; Isiolo won't stop till it tops the list of the best performing and most developed counties in Kenya. Who can say it's not on it's way to achieving that feat?

Under his stewardship, Isiolo County has had more roads and other vital Infrastructural work done in a short period with well paved access roads crisscrossing the neighbourhoods. From Merti to Bula Pesa and everything in between, the drums of development is ringing.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
