Health CS Hon Aden Duale Appear Before Parliamentary Committee. Presents Digital Health Regulations

HEALTH CS DUALE APPEAR BEFORE PARLIAMENT COMMITTEE. PRESENTS DIGITAL HEALTH REGULATIONS 

Health Cabinet Secretary Hon Aden Duale appeared before the National Assembly Committee on Delegated Legislation, chaired by Samuel Chepkonga, to present the Digital Health (Data Exchange) and (Health Information Management) Regulations, 2025, currently at the pre-publication stage.

The regulations lay the foundation for secure digital health services, enabling patient registration, real-time health record tracking and streamlined service delivery. 

Once implemented, they will bolster Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) commitments, with healthcare as a key pillar.

Hon Duale underscored their role in advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC), tackling healthcare fraud and eliminating quack practitioners through tech-driven accountability.

The CS was joined by Medical Services PS Harry Kimtai, Acting DHA CEO Anthony Lenaiyara, Senior Counsel Edith Torome and other Ministry officials.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
