Hon Duale will Transform and Streamline the Ministry of Health

HON DUALE WILL TRANSFORM AND STREAMLINE THE HEALTH MINISTRY AS HE IS PERFORMANCE ORIENTED LEADER 

Ministry of Health has always been the source of headache for successive government. From industrial actions like strikes to operational issues to corruption and cartels in the system. But now that Hon Aden Duale has been placed at the helm of the Ministry, the energetic, combative and robust style of management by the Cabinet Secretary will breath new life to one of the most important government ministries.

One of the key pillar of the health sector is fully operational and functioning Social Health Authority. The authority has been bedevilled by problems and Hon Duale's main mission was to steady the ship and ensure the success of one of the flagship projects by Kenya Kwanza Administration. 

What hampered successful operations of SHA has been the absence of a substantial CEO.

Because of the numerous operational problems that SHA has had, and because many at the operational level did not understand the concept of social health insurance, the board of management has been many times forced to try quell the fires in media. 

Finally the SHA board has a substantial CEO. 

Dr. Mercy Mwangangi is a Kenya Medical Association member of good standing. She is an alumni of The University of Nairobi. She has five years of experience of working in government, having served as a CAS in the previous administration. She did a fantastic job communicating COVID management for The Ministry of Health. She is knowledgeable in health insurance & economics. 

Hon Duale will seek to transform the Ministry and make it successful.
