Incompetence and Corruption at Transport, Infrastructure and Governance Department Hampering Governor Shariff's Re-election Bid

RESIDENTS LAMENT THE INCOMPETENCE AT THE TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT. CALLS FOR RADICAL CHANGE

"Sack the incompetent and corrupt heads of the Department of Transport and Infrastructure"

Huge number of Mombasa residents are now asking for the removal of top officials at the Department of Transport and Infrastructure urging Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir to wake up to the reality if he wants to be reelected.

The residents accused Manyala Dan, CECM and his team of blatantly curtailing the agendas of the Governor by ignoring the dilapidated states of drainage systems and other vital Infrastructural work that are in sorry state of affairs.

They accused the Department of ignoring their concerns, unresponsive and nonchalant mannerisms and often overlooking the growing frustrations of the people with arrogance abandon.

"Governor Abdulswamad, we voted for you knowing that you will have capable and committed people to help you implement your manifesto. But what you have at this department are people hell bent to see you fail " said Salim Jumbe of Old Town.

He asked the Governor to give a keen interest to the department of Transport and Infrastructure, lamenting that the residents are tired of crappy drainage systems that can't withstand a little rain, the pothole-laden streets crisscrossing the county and the dark alleyways that harbours muggers and robbers.

Manyala has been one of the unpopular, corrupt and incompetent CECMs in the administration as his shoddy work has always been exposed during rainy seasons.
