Exposed: Wajir North Police Officers Working with Bhang Smuggling Enterprises to Facilitate the Illicit Trade

EXPOSED: WAJIR NORTH POLICE OFFICERS WORKING WITH BHANG SMUGGLING CARTELS TO FACILITATE THE TRADE

Rogue Wajir North Police officers have been exposed to be working in tandem with Marijuana cartels to help the criminal syndicate smuggle the drug from the neighbouring country Ethiopia with the help, protection and explicit facilitation of the same people mandated to prevent such illicit trade..

Bribery, kickbacks and corruption is the game at play with the full participation of the police. A covert investigation reveals the extent of collusion and cooperation between two camps that are supposed to be at odds with each other (criminals and police) are now working hand in hand to poison the country with drugs such as bhang. 

At Watiti Police Barrier (under Bute SCPC), officers on the ground, in coordination with the cartels , collect hundreds of thousands of shillings from smugglers and remit the bribes directly to the Sub-County Police Commander in a brazen manner that ignores their oath to protect and uphold the rule of law. 

Similarly, at Bamba Police Barrier in Gurar Ward have not been left behind as investigation report reveals. The officers collects huge amounts of cash from the Bhang smuggling empire and the proceeds are subsequently sent to the Wajir North Sub-County Police Commander.

The extent of the cartel ring collusion with Police officers is so harrowing that there are no fears of retribution or punishment as the illegal trade and its proceeds are openly shared by the men in uniform. For example. 

Four suspects were recently arrested in Wajir North after police intercepted a Toyota Landcruiser, registration KAE 514G:

​Jibril Ali Noor (Driver, 38)
​Mohammed Abdikadir Mohammud (Car Owner, 30)
​Adan Ali Abdullahi (21)
​Idow Abdirahaman Adow (70)

Shockingly, all four have been released after wads of cash changed hands. Theh are now back to their illegal trade of bringing more bhang Kenya since they enjoy the protection and support of the police officers serving in the area. 

The report shows what the police are doing is far from their core mandate and borders to criminal entity hell-bent in enriching themselves while abandoning and abdicating their main mandate of protecting Kenyans.

Calls have been made to Inspector General of Police to crack the whip on these rogue officers and the entire police bosses abating this shameful and criminal action 
to be prosecuted.
