DR MATSANGA DAVID: THE JUDICIARY ACTIVISM IN KENYA IS A TIME BOMB THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED NOW.
THE JUDICIARY ACTIVISM IN KENYA IS A TIME BOMB THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED NOW.
Dr Matsanga David
When criticised the Kenyan Judiciary system as a system infiltrated by foreign sponsored NGOs and suffering from “cheap activism syndrome” , I was called names. The truth is slowly but painfully emerging as the war on corruption intensifies.
STUMBLING BLOCK
When I said the biggest stumbling block to the fight against corruption is the incompetent and ineffective judiciary, some people still doubted the authenticity of my claims. Look at the Bugoma ruling and the Nairobi ruling . Both are mikes apart.
ROT IN JUDICIARY
When I pointed out the rot in the judiciary, I did it with honesty and with concrete reasons. I still hold on to that believe that current leadership is incompetent . I still maintain that DCJ Mwilu is corrupt but the CJ is incompetent and not able to handle the Judiciary of Kenya.
EFFORTS BY UHURU KENYATTA
I still believe that the efforts of President Uhuru Kenyatta to weed out the cartels and the looters is being watered down by the same institutions that are vital in the war against graft. The writing is on the wall.
CASES SLIP OUT
Most cases of corruption tend slowly slips out of public attention when Judges like DCJ Mwilu and Justice Chacha preside over them . This leads to acquittal of the individuals who have stolen billions of shillings meant for development of this country .
DESIRED LEGACY
The desired legacy and clean image the President wants to leave behind could hugely be tainted if the judiciary keeps frustrating the process of holding accountable those who plundered taxpayers funds.
The campaign to rid corruption and misappropriation of funds from Kenya’s governance system could continue be a dream if the judiciary keeps on giving leeway to the cartels.
NATIONAL SUPPORT NEEDED
If Kenyans are determined to fight corruption then they should help President UHURU Kenyatta to do so .This must be a priority for every one who want to see future Kenya progressing.
God bless Kenya
