Hon Duale Joins President Ruto at National Defence University for its First Graduation

HON DUALE JOINS PRESIDENT RUTO AT NATIONAL DEFENCE UNIVERSITY FOR IT'S FIRST GRADUATION 


The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) not only contribute to national security and regional stability but are also instrumental, through the National Defence University - Kenya (NDU-K) in shaping the capacity of strategic thinkers and implementers to support the development of sound policies and strategies while at the same time proffer practical innovative solutions to address our security challenges and contribute to national development.

Today, at the National Defence University - Kenya (NDU-K) in Lanet, Nakuru County, Hon Aden Duale, Cabinet Secretary for Defence was deeply honoured to host H.E the President, the Commander-in-Chief of our Defence Forces and the Chancellor of the University, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, for the first-ever graduation ceremony since the inception of the University.

The graduating class comprised of multi-disciplinary, multi-sectoral and multinational students from Kenya and other allied countries in Africa and beyond.

Hon Duale relayed his sincere appreciations to H.E Dr. Ruto for his strategic guidance as the Chancellor which has enabled the institution register remarkable milestones in just two years since it was awarded a charter in 2021.

Moreover, he congratulated the pioneer graduating class and wished them well in their endevours and implored them to serve with honour, valour, integrity and a deep sense of duty as they strive to make the world a safer place.

Also present were Education CS Hon. Ezekiel Machogu, Chief of Defence Forces (Chairman of the University Council) General Francis Ogolla, Nakuru Governor H.E Susan Kihika, Principal Secretary Mr. Patrick Mariru, Vice CDF Lieutenant General Jonah Mwangi, Service Commanders NDU-K Vice Chancellor Major General Said Farah and Vice Chancellors from other universities.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
