Manyala Dan Continues the Assessment of Infrastructural Projects Across Mombasa County


MANYALA DAN CONTINUES ASSESSING OF ONGOING INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS TO ENSURE IT'S DONE ON TIME.


Mombasa County CECM Department of Transport and Infrastructure Manyala Dan continues with his visits and assessments of ongoing Infrastructural development across the county as efforts to improve conditions of all access roads, drainages and streetlights ramps up momentum. 

Just a day after inspecting projects in Shimanzi, Manyala had another busy day as together with Hamisi Nyota Athuman they assesed Shree Enclave Access rd which connects Ziwa La Ngombe settlement via a pedestrian stretch through the estate to Links Road, Mombasa Malindi Highway & nearby public beaches.

He acknowledged the need of including NMT infrastracture to the access road to cater for the huge pedestrian & cycling traffic that uses the stretch. 

"Active transport remains a critical focus for Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir plan of iimproving public transport." Manyala said.

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
