MANYALA DAN SAYS SECURITY LIGHTS IMPORTANT FOR THE ECONOMY AND SAFETY OF THE COUNTY AND IT'S RESIDENTS. 

Mombasa County Government has been steadfast in their pursuit to address the issues of drainages, security lights and access roads. CECM Manyala Dan of Department of Transport and Infrastructure said they are upgrading all access roads across the county while also improving the efficiency of the drainage systems. 

"The Governor, H.E Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir has a blueprint in which all the roads in our county are to be upgraded to cabro standard. We are also committed to address the issue of drianages once and for all. We have made quite a good progress so far. " said Mr Manyala. 

The CECM added that security light's importance cannot be overstated saying they are cooperating with residents to erect security lights where it's needed and the faulty ones replaced immediately. 

"Security lights are very important especially for the economy of the county. We want to make Mombasa a 24hour economy and by having lights across the county, our traders feel safe and can continue with their business till late into the night"

TUDOR WARD AND THE SPILLAGE OF RAW SEWAGE INTO HOUSES POINTS TO POOR DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.  The people of Tudor Four have been neglected by the County Government of Mombasa. They are up in arms over raw sewage spilling of into their houses as the drainages are yet be unclogged.  They said they have appealed to Governor Abdulswamad but he has so far ignored them. The sewage has submerged part of the road forcing pedestrians to look for alternative routes. "So the county government has preference of which area to help or not? Why is Tudor ward not getting the services we deserve? Salim Abdalla said. He warned the Governor that they will not vote for him again since he no longer treats all areas the same. The ongoing heavy rains has exposed the weaknesses of the County Government of Mombasa especially it's preparedness to tackle flood related issues.
