UNITED ACTIVISM TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS. Hon Zamzam Mohammed's office team represented her at the launch of the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence Against Women and Girls. This is a global civil society-led campaign to end violence against women. 2022 THEME- UNITE! Activism To End Violence Against Women and Girls. Hon Zamzam is currently serving on the AD-HOC Committee, which will charter the way forward particularly on NGAAF funds that is allocated partly in mitigating GBV acts against women and girls. Her office collaborates with community-based organizations (CBOs) on interventions on GBV cases. A case in Bombolulu was settled in collaboration with Future Pillars Community Based Organization,a CBO working towards ensuring women empowerment and child education.  GBV touches not only women and girls but young boys as well. HON ADEN DUALE'S MEETING WITH UK ARMED FORCES MINISTER (PHOTOS) Hon Aden Duale, cabinet Secretary of Defence welcomed UK armed forces Minister Rt Hon James Heappey at the Defence Headquarters where they discussed myriads of issues including Defence cooperation among other things. A press release on his social media accounts states; The United Kingdom has been instrumental in its role of shaping our military and security agencies. We have, in previous years, enjoyed immense Defense and bilateral cooperation. We have long standing Defense Cooperation Agreements of its kind in the region.  That was at the centre of our talk when the UK Minister for Armed Forces, Rt. Hon. HON ADEN DUALE ACCOMPANIES PRESIDENT RUTO TO KINSHASA DRC. (PHOTOS) Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon Aden Duale accompanied President William Samoei Ruto to Kinshasa, DRC where President Felix Tshisekedi played host at the People's Palace of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The talks were centered around, 'Peace for Prosperity.' Kenya plays a pivotal position in the maintenance of peace with her East Africa neighbours and beyond. Kenyan forces, over the years, have taken pride in being part of many successful peace keeping missions in different parts of the continent. The two agreed to form a joint committee of experts who will steer trade and investment, security, agriculture, energy and public service talks, keeping a keen eye on the security and stability of the two countries.

HON ZAMZAM MOHAMMED VISITS MIKINDANI PRY SCHOOL AND ENCOURAGED THE STUDENTS SITTING FOR THEIR FINAL EXAMS.            Hon Zamzam Mohammed hugging student  Hon Zamzam Mohammed has been going round schools giving hope and courage to our students who are sitting for their KCPE and KCSE examinations.  She has been at Mikindani Primary School where she has given message of encouragement and guidance as she wished them all the very best in the forthcoming exams.   Hon Zamzam happily wished success to all CBC, KCPE & KCSE candidates sitting for their final exams in few days to come.   She was welcomed by Mr. Cosmas Mutia(Headmaster) Senior Teacher Alvin Amakobe and thanked the entire school team for their warm reception. HON DUALE'S MAIDEN VISIT TO THE KENYA NAVAL HEADQUARTERS IN MTONGWE(PHOTOS)  Hon Aden Duale has been going round in Military bases and headquarters for assessment as he officially kicked off his duties as Cabinet Secretary of Defence.  Couple of days ago, Hon Duale who is former Majority Leader and Garissa Township MP visited The Kenya Navy and familiarised himself with the operations of our men and women of uniform.  The Kenya Navy is one of the services naval of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) that protects the borders against waterborne aggression and plays an integral role in guarding the blue economy. Touring the naval headquarters in Mtongwe to assess the capability of their operations, Hon Duale was well received by Major General Jimson Longiro Mutai - Commander, Kenya Navy. CONCOCTED PROPAGANDA AND FAKE STORIES WONT SWAY THE SMART MOMBASA PEOPLE  Few years ago, Mombasa county Government was loosing huge amount of revenues and collections were dwindling due to cartels,brokers and massive evasion of tax payments. Illegal hawking and unnecessary traffic snarl ups were the order of the day. Mombasa residents were hugely inconvenienced by the utter lawlessness and something was to be done. Then a sigh of relief and hope was restored for the great people of Mombasa county.  When a youthful, no nonsense, energetic and intelligent man was placed at the helm of the Inspectorate, many thought the lawlessness and the dire state of affairs will continue and business will be as usual. NATIONAL ASSEMBLY APPROVES DEPLOYMENT OF KDF TROOPS TO DRC Kenya's will to address regional issues and challenges was yesterday manifested when the National Assembly approved the deployment of troops to join others under the East African Community Regional Forces (EACRF) for a peace keeping and enforcement mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Receiving the blessings of the Kenyan Parliament and the goodwill of the people of Eastern DRC, the Kenyan Contingent (KENCOM) is instrumental in its commitment and contribution to maintaining regional peace that fosters growth. As the East African Community Anthem encourages, our desire is to 'pursue the virtues of unity, patriotism and hard work, while cultivating a spirit of comradeship'.

KENYA TO OFFICIALLY DEPLOY TROOPS TO DRC CONGO Yesterday, Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon Aden Duale  held a brief with the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations chaired by Nelson Koech - MP, Belgut Constituency - on the deployment of Kenya Contingent (KENCOM) and the East Africa Community Regional Forces (EACRF) to a peacekeeping and mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).  The deployment follows the heads of states summit of the EAC members states to restore peace, allow movement of humananitarian supplies and assist in the displaced. Hon Duale, alongside the Vice Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Francis Ogolla,  pledged to entrench the defence and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries, as part of the larger strategy for regional peace and stability.
